LAB Elite · Grades 5–8
A comprehensive player-development program designed to help student-athletes maximize their potential and prepare for high school basketball.
The Program
The LAB Elite Club Team is a comprehensive player-development model for committed players in grades 5th–8th, from any town. It values instruction and development over everything else — practices are designed to prepare players for high school basketball, not to win an AAU game.
The spring season runs March 14 – May 23, 2027 (off Easter). All training and practices take place at 30 Hillside Road, Chester, NJ.
The 12-Step Program
Twelve components built to develop the player and the person — and to prepare them for high school basketball, not to win AAU games.
Spring Teams
Each grade practices together weekly (2 hours), with a guest speaker after every practice. Families also choose one midweek training option (Tuesdays or Thursdays) so multi-sport athletes can keep developing.
Families also choose one midweek training option so multi-sport athletes keep developing: Tuesdays 4:30–6:00 PM or 6:00–7:30 PM (March 16–May 18), or Thursdays 4:30–6:00 PM or 6:00–7:30 PM (March 18–May 20).
After every LAB practice, a guest speaker comes in — a college coach, college player, high school coach, or strength expert. Topics have included “Dream Big” stories, Winning the Mental Game, Strength Training for Young Athletes, Leadership, and the Pathway to College Academics & Athletics — with speakers from Villanova (Big East champ), a Michigan football walk-on, MIT and UChicago players, and a D3 All-American.
College Instruction
A major part of the LAB Elite experience. Coaches and players from these programs have run instruction and spoken for our teams.
